Brace yourself, coffee tables of Clerkenwell.
This hefty volume is destined to grace many a local table come Christmas. Hadid. Complete Works 1979-2013 by Philip Jodidio (£34.99; Taschen), is a massive monograph celebrating EC1-based architecture maverick Zaha Hadid. All the Iraqi-British architect’s designs are here, including previously unpublished work on The New National Stadium of Japan and the Serpentine’s Sackler Gallery. It’s an apt celebration of our area’s best-known architect, who recently purchased the Design Museum’s Shad Thames building (the museum is moving to Kensington), and hopes to use the centre “to consolidate our archive in a single location” and hold architecture exhibitions.
