A British Story
It’s hard to imagine now but furniture company Allermuir started life as a two man welding firm in Blackburn in 1971.
That engineering background and an investment in design since its acquisition by the Senator Group 11 years ago – together with collaborations with the likes of PearsonLloyd, Mark Gabbertas and Benjamin Hubert – have turned it into a highly respected global brand.
To this, the company credits “commitment, passion and hard work”, plus a growing interest in British design and manufacturing, fuelled by events like Clerkenwell Design Week. “Clerkenwell has become an international platform for interior products,” says Allermuir’s Katie Anderson. Allermuir now shares a showroom with its sister brand Senator in Charterhouse Square. www.allermuir.com
