Design Museum Turns 25

The Design Museum has partnered with Media 10, publisher of The Clerkenwell Post and leading design and architecture magazine Icon, on a series of 25th anniversary events.

The DM25 ‘What Next?’ series of talks with leading designers and architects will celebrate the Shad Thames museum’s landmark birthday as it prepares to make the big move to Kensington in 2015 (see p24). So far Paul Smith, Thomas Heatherwick, Aitor Throup and a grouping of design luminaries including Jonathan Barnbrook, Neville Brody and Morag Myerscough have set the scene for the next 25 years. But don’t worry – there are plenty more DM25 talks to come, starting with design manager Alberto Alessi, from the Italian contemporary design brand, on 29 May. Talks are priced £25 and will raise vital funds for the museum’s future.
