The magCulture shop, which specialises in eclectic journals, has just marked its first anniversary – proof that discerning readers retain a healthy interest in magazines.

After a decade of championing editorial design on the magCulture website, Jeremy Leslie launched the shop over a former newsagent’s at 270 St John Street in late 2015. The visually intriguing titles are sourced from around the world, ranging from the UK and US to Scandinavia, Australia and India.

If there’s too much choice for you in the store’s curated collection, they have also singled out several picks online include the foodie-themed Yuca (articles include “The Politics of Hummus”) and Vestoj, an elegant journal of sartorial matters.
