This year’s 100% Design is set to be the best yet, says Daren Newton, Founding Publisher of The Clerkenwell Post.

100% Design is synonymous with the biggest names in the industry and, as the UK’s longest standing annual design event, is a leading platform for launching some of the world’s most renowned brands.

This year’s show is set to be the most exciting edition in its 24-year history. Talks with 100% Design will welcome some of the industry’s most celebrated and exciting names, including: Thomas Heatherwick, Marcel Wanders, Yinka Ilori, Ini Archibong, Farshid Moussavi and Kelly Hoppen MBE. The programme covers a variety of topics reflecting the changing landscape of London’s creative communities and features an exclusive session with Thomas Heatherwick exploring the vision for Olympia’s £700m regeneration project.

I am particularly excited about this year’s line-up of exhibitors as the show welcomes industry powerhouses Benchmark, Established & Sons, Vitra and Fritz Hansen, as well as renowned brands like Dare Studio, Hayche, Icons of Denmark and Missana. The popular Emerging Brands section of the show will once again showcase a number of up-and-coming designers not seen anywhere else.

This year we will also launch a new feature called 100% Futures. Spearheaded by Max Fraser, the mini exhibition brings together a selection of enterprising visions for future improvements to city life. We will also be celebrating young designers with the introduction of 100% Forward. Curated by Barbara Chandler the new feature will highlight emerging design talents, each championed by an established designer who launched their career at 100% Design in the 90’s. With so much new content and one of the strongest line-ups to date, this year’s show really will be the unmissable event in London’s creative calendar.
