Rejoice dough nerds and mozzarella-aholics: One of London’s best pizzerias has a new branch on Exmouth Market. Now open next to Caravan, the third outlet of James and Thom Elliot’s Pizza Pilgrims features classic pies from their Soho menu like the Margherita, Marinara and spicy Nduja. You can grab a pot of pizza soup from their lunch stall, or linger inside over a slice, an Aperol Spritz and a few turns on the pizzeria’s retro arcade machines.

CUBANA SMITHFIELD
London isn’t exactly overstuffed with Cuban restaurants. One of the few, and best, places to get a fix (and a strong Mojito) has long been Cubana in Waterloo. After five years of getting planning consent and permits, the Cubana team have transformed a derelict EC1 warehouse into Cubana Smithfield. The new outpost features a coffee roastery, bakery and Mojito bar and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try the slow- roasted Cuban pork with black beans, washed down with a cucumber Mojito.

CITY OF LONDON DISTILLERY
Hidden down a narrow lane off Farringdon Street, the City of London bar and distillery is one of our favourite places for a clandestine gin and tonic. The Bride Lane spot has teamed up with acclaimed master distiller Tom Nichol to launch Christopher Wren Gin. The new tipple has subtle notes of liquorice and orange, and is produced on-site in City of London’s copper stills in small batches. The dome-shaped bottle recalls Wren’s masterpiece, a certain nearby cathedral, and costs £42.
