Katy Salter dishes up the local gastro need-to-know.

HUMBLE GRAPE
Farringdon is fast becoming one of London’s best places to drink interesting wines... at Vinoteca, Vivat Bacchus and The Quality Chop House to name just three. Local oenophiles now have a new bar to add to that list. Hidden down St Bride’s Passage, off Fleet Street, Humble Grape is a 200-seat wine bar and shop that imports handcrafted wines directly from small vineyards around the world. The site has form – it was previously The Press House Wine Bar, a favourite haunt of many a Fleet Street hack. (image above)

COIN LAUNDRY
Coin Laundry is on a mission to revive the Chicken Kiev. The retro dish has been a popular menu item since the Exmouth Market bar opened in 2015. Now Coin Laundry is offering a Chicken Kiev roast on Sundays. If that doesn’t float your boat, the other retro roasts include silverside or roast ham, served with hasselback potatoes, Romanesco cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pud and gravy. On the small chance that doesn’t fill you up, desserts include a suitably Seventies Black Forest trifle.
