Plenty of culinary concepts born in EC1 quickly expand across London.

Caravan is soon to have a fifth branch in Fitzrovia. The first, which opened on Exmouth Market in 2010, has just reopened. Across town, Bea Vo, Clerkenwell’s queen of cake, is launching her second branch of Butterscotch Bakery, near Selfridge’s. Her first tea shop, Bea’s of Bloomsbury, opened on Theobald’s Road in 2008; though she is no longer involved with the brand, there are now five branches. Bea moved on in 2014 to set up her Feed Your Soul restaurants, of which the new Butterscotch is the fifth.
