Hansgrohe – The Water Studio
Water is at the heart of everything Hansgrohe do. Experience their philosophy brought to life at The Water Studio. Hansgrohe will participate in Clerkenwell Design Week for the first time and invites you to join them for a series of design inspired celebrations.
The Water Studio is Hansgrohe’s new hub of inspiration, excitement and resource. It is a collaborative space for the international architect and design community and for anyone serious about creating show-stopping bathrooms. However big or small your project, let them ensure the process runs smoothly. The expert Hansgrohe Project Team can give invaluable advice on issues like water regulations and show you how to save money by using resources more efficiently and ensuring you get the specification right first time.
Share, Explore and Learn
You can discover more than 200 products from the Hansgrohe and Axor ranges at The Water Studio. The 1901 heritage is brought to life, here the invisible becomes visible with working displays and a ‘Test Rig’ allows measurement and comparison of different products’ flow rates using sensors. Training and support are core to the studio’s ethos. UK Sales Director – Projects, Jay Phillips, says, “Our role is to make life easier, especially when dealing with complex areas, so when clients specify Hansgrohe they get real peace of mind.”
During CDW, the studio will be an open house for visitors to come and explore, ask questions, try out different working products and meet the Hansgrohe Project Team.
A Space to Launch
Designed by international Experiential Design Agency, I-AM, The Water Studio’s strategic global location serves as an important global hub for architects and designers and showcases the reach of the Hansgrohe as a global brand, experienced in working on local, national and worldwide projects.
During CDW, The Water Studio will play host to the latest Axor WaterDreams which were unveiled last month in Milan. Building on the technological capabilities of the Axor U-Base, Axor envisioned a new dimension of individualisation: washbasin spouts crafted from alternative materials with total freedom of form for seamless integration in the interior design or for creating a personal statement.
Axor invited world-renowned design partners to present their visions for the meaning of water within the living spaces of tomorrow. David Adjaye, Werner Aisslinger, FRONT, GamFratesi and Jean-Marie Massaud, together with Axor, designed unique spouts that through their materiality, form and function, give a new emotionality and value to the tap itself and the water passing through it. The five original pieces that were created will be presented at The Water Studio for all for CDW visitors to enjoy.
A Place to Network and Enjoy
The Water Studio will hold lifestyle events associated with water and wellbeing throughout the year and can be enjoyed as a creative sanctuary away from your practice. During CDW, the doors will be always open and the coffee machine switched on. On Thursday 26 th May, there will be an official presentation of the new Axor WaterDreams presented by Philippe Grohe and a party in the evening to celebrate innovation and the power of water to make the bathroom a truly sensual and life-enriching space. With wi-fi and work space as well as a dedicated team on hand to offer specification support, The Water Studio is very much a place to inspire, a place to design and a place to share.
Experience the Art of Moving Water
Water is evident throughout the studio in more abstract, artistic expressions, such as the central ‘cascade’ feature. Here, working showerheads and mixers are set against the backdrop of a 4D-mapped ‘digital waterfall’ animated artwork, inspired by the power of water harnessed and engineered by Hansgrohe. Further artistic water-statements are the window display which features billowing fabric evocative of water flowing from an Axor Starck V mixer tap and the Axor WaterDream installation sculpture (by Front) hangs above the staircase.
