Local architecture publisher Artifice has issued a lavishly illustrated volume,The Modern House, about the most iconic modernist homes across the country.
The book, by Jonathan Bell, Matt Gibberd and Albert Hill, is based on the The Modern House blog and property sales portal.
It is being published to mark a decade of modernist properties online. Of course, the Barbican features in its pages, along with Highgate development Highpoint, designed by Berthold Lubetkin (also known for EC1’s Finsbury Health Centre and Spa Green Estate).
You can also go through the keyhole of the Fog House (pictured) in Sans Walk, the Clerkenwell warehouse conversion designed by David Adjaye for Janet Street-Porter.
