Museum Opening

The Charterhouse museum was due to open in late January, as The Post went to press.

With the help of the Museum of London, the historic 14th century building in the heart of Clerkenwell is opening to the public for the first time in its 669-year history.

A new museum has been created alongside a learning centre and exhibition space to tell the story of the Charterhouse, which has been a religious site, a grand Tudor mansion, a school and an almshouse (which it remains to this day). Entry is free and the museum is open from 11am on Tuesday to Sunday.
