Christina Martin established in Canada, winner of last year's 'Female Recording of the Year' at the Nova Scotia Music Awards announced her first UK tour and a UK single, with the tour kicking off at the Slaughtered Lamb next Wednesday 5th Feb.

Award-winning Canadian singer Christina Martin has become known in her home country over the last few years for her melodic Americana/Country-pop songs. Her song-writing reflects the emotional highs and lows that we all experience as we travel the road of life, and her vocal style is romantic yet ultimately wistful; it's reminiscent of the music she grew up with, which included Lucinda Williams, The Jayhawks and Wilco.

Christina is embarking on an 11-date UK tour – her first ever – to promote her new album, Sleeping with a Stranger, which launches here on 24 February. The lead single from it, Water It, comes out on 10 February. Clerkenwell is the location chosen for the first date of the tour – you can find Christina at The Slaughtered Lamb in Great Sutton Street on 5 February.
