Clerkenwell-based Dame Zaha Hadid triumphed in the Design of the Year award at the Design Museum, whose Shad Thames building she will take over next year when the museum moves to Kensington.

She became the first woman to win the top prize when judges chose the Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku, Azerbaijan. The exhibition runs until 25 August.
