Sadler's Wells is to host the final dance programme from Sylvie Guillem, the world-famous ballerina who's enjoyed a 35-year career in ballet and contemporary work.

Guillem has appeared in many of the leading roles of the classical repertoire with leading companies including the Paris Opera Ballet, Tokyo Ballet and the Royal Ballet in Covent Garden, where she was principal guest artist. She has also been associate artist at Sadler's Wells since
2006. For Life in Progress (26-31 May), she will dance two new works - a solo with live musicians on stage and a pas de deux with Italian dancer Emanuela Montanari from La Scala. Sadler's Wells described her as "the greatest ballerina of her generation".
