The Barbican is launching a series of funny films selected by leading comedy talent.

This Made Me Laugh runs from 11-16 April and begins with The Naked Gun starring Leslie Nielsen, as chosen and introduced by John Lloyd, producer of Blackadder, Spitting Image and QI. Comedian Mitch Benn explains why he loves the heavy metal hilarity of This is Spinal Tap (12 April), while writer and documentary maker Jon Ronson will make the case for The Graduate starring Dustin Hoff man (16 April). There are also favourite films from Lenny Henry (Blazing Saddles, screened on 11 April) and Miranda Hart, who’s chosen John Cleese’s chaotic comedy Clockwise (14 April).
