Vitra is famed for its striking design – as visitors to their EC1 showroom will know - and now the Swiss furniture brand is extending its range of accessories.

Home Complements is a new line of design objects produced in collaboration with contemporary designers as well the family of American designer Alexander Girard (1907-1993). In addition to coffee mugs, serving trays, notebooks and paper napkins, Girard was also the inspiration behind these matchboxes: he was an avid collector and donated a large part of his haul to the Vitra Design Museum. Vitra’s Girard Matchboxes are available from April in various motifs created by the designer.
