George Lucas made cinema history with the Star Wars blockbusters, but his first sci-fi movie (from 1971) is a lesser-known cult classic.

Now dystopian fantasy THX 1138 will get the live soundtrack treatment from Asian Dub Foundation at the Barbican on 19 June. The band, who combine punk, electronic beats, reggae, bhangra and hip-hop, formed in 1993 during a series of summer workshops at London's Farringdon Community Music House, now the Free Word Centre.
