American artist Doug Aitken will take over the Barbican this summer with more than 100 free events over 30 days.

Station to Station: A 30 Day Happening begins on 27 June, and includes performances, works and residencies by Ed Ruscha, Terry Riley, Martin Creed, Olaf Breuning, and Joanna Hogg. The ‘living’ exhibition started out on an illuminated vintage train (pictured) that was filled with artists, musicians, writers and dancers calling at nine towns between New York and California.
