Creativity comes in many forms in EC1: as well as furniture and interiors, it’s home to architects, branding agencies and craft studios.

During CDW, dozens of these local practices open their doors. The Fringe events include the pop-up workshop at the Goldsmiths’ Centre, where you can punch your own pendant or key-ring design (10am-4pm, 19 May). And look out for the ping pong at St James’s Church Garden from Stirling Ackroyd, official sponsors of this year’s fringe.
