Conversations at Clerkenwell focuses on industry issues on the third floor of the Design Factory at the Farmiloe Building.

It kicks off on 19 May with panels including Modern Furniture in Heritage Settings, a discussion on the emerging trend of contemporary design in historic locations such as Chatsworth (pictured). This year’s programme includes Sir Nicholas
Grimshaw (Can architects design furniture?); a session on making the Thames a focus for public space; and a debate on Brutalist architecture with Simon Henley (Henley Halebrown Rorrison), George Saumarez-Smith (ADAM Architecture) and Matthew Whitfield (English Heritage). Sign up via the website.
