The treasures of Sir John Soane’s Museum are covered in the article Open House.

And now you can wrap your gifts in some of the designs by one of the most important British architects working in the Neo-classical style. Robert Adam (1728-92) incorporated ideas from ancient Greece and Rome into his designs and interior decoration. In 1833 Sir John Soane purchased 9,000 drawings and watercolours by Adam and his brothers. It’s a unique collection of designs for ceilings, carpets and wallpaper from the architect behind the remodelling of Kenwood House. Pimpernel Press has produced a book of 12 sheets of wrapping paper based on the designs.
