Fancy visiting a historic institution in the neighbourhood after regular opening hours?

Museums at Night returns on the Halloween weekend for its after-hours festival of arts, culture and heritage. Hundreds of UK museums, galleries and historic spaces will open late for special night-time events on 30- 31 October; it also ties in with the European campaign La Nuit Des Musées. The Museum of the Order of St John will be staging Late at the Gate, a pub quiz in its historic rooms in recognition of the tavern that used to be on the site. Dr Johnson’s House in Gough Square will also be opening up to evening visitors.
