Exciting news, Workshop Coffee Co. (formerly known as ST. Ali) is proving there are more strings to its bow than just great coffee. In addition to its consistently popular breakfast, lunch and brunch services, Workshop Coffee Co. has recently extended its service of all things delicious into the evening hours...

A carefully selected list of craft beers and great wines accompany the new bar snack menu downstairs, or a la carte dining on the first floor. The same ethos that has made Workshop Coffee Co. one of Clerkenwell's most notable recent additions, offers a concise menu inspired by great seasonal, artisanal ingredients. Parallel to its approach in coffee sourcing, roasting and brewing, Workshop Coffee Co. proudly works with hands-on and dedicated suppliers to create dishes prepared in a deliberate, straight-forward cooking approach.

In the upstairs dining room guests can reserve a table to enjoy a 200g Dexter rare breed hamburger, supplied by Nathan Mills' 'The Butchery Ltd', or whole smoked pigeon sourced from Capreolus in West Dorset, roasted and served with Puy lentils, confit tomato and bacon. Starters of fried goats' curd in panko crust, with beetroot and pomegranate, or quail, poached and grilled, with herbed cous-cous and sumac are an example of the evolving range of interesting and exciting dishes available for guests.

The downstairs bar welcomes walk-in guests looking for few small plates to share, or accompany a glass of wine; smoky eggplant with cumin and lemon, pig skin grissini or miniature corn fritters with spiced yoghurt. A handful of larger plates are on offer too, such as chermoula lamb cutlets with white beans and chorizo, and of course, that Dexter hamburger. Craft beers are on offer from both Camden Town Brewery and the Kernel Brewery, while the concise wine list ranges from the simply delicious and approachable, to more interesting (and sometimes strange) natural and biodynamic offerings from Raef Hodgson or Gergovie Wines and 40 Maltby Street.

And of course, Workshop Coffee Co. continues to source, roast and serve the sweetest and cleanest coffee they can find, right here in Clerkenwell.
