Physicist, TV presenter and former pop star (he was a member of D:Ream, famous for Things Can Only Get Be er) Professor Brian Cox is coming to Clerkenwell.

Who better to mark the centenary of Holst’s The Planets than the presenter of BBC series Wonders of the Universe? Cox will join conductor Ben Gernon and the BBC Symphony Orchestra to take a fresh look at at the otherworldly masterpiece at the Barbican on September 29.

The venue’s new classical music season is already underway, including Play! (March 18), a symphonic celebration of classic computer game themes and the works that inspired them.
