An exclusive exhibition of new work by elite architectural photographer, Tim Soar will be hosted by design charity Article 25 at The Clerkenwell Kitchen. This summer event will raise crucial funds for Article 25, the charity that builds solutions to global problems.

The exhibition, hosted by design charity Article 25 and sponsored by Place Careers, will showcase eighteen black and white photographs and a moving image installation depicting the mills and towns in and around Derby.

This new body of work explores the water powered industrial processes from the turn of the 19th Century. It examines how, through the power of the lens, the social, economic and geographic factors generated new communities, social orders and political responses and whether these developments left a record from which we can draw our own lessons in the age of unpredictable futures. This parallels the work that Article 25 achieves in the developing world and seeks to show the benefits achieved when investment is made in large displaced communities facing rapid change in challenging environments.

The exhibition, curated by Phil Coffey of Coffey Architects, will be launched at a private viewing on Thursday 5th July at The Clerkenwell Kitchen, an exciting and unique exhibition venue. Guests will each receive an exclusive Timothy Soar print, of an image of their choice from the exhibition. This summer event will raise crucial funds for Article 25, the charity that builds solutions to global problems.
